Most of the grapes come from a steep terraced site in Besigheim. The 5-60 year old vines are planted over a deep clay topsoil and a pure shell limestone bedrock. Spontaneous fermentation, maceration over 3 weeks in wooden tank and stainless steel. Aged for 16 months in used 600 liter barrels. Bottled unfiltered.
